sponsor my Requiem

This piece began in my head as I stood at Josh Allen's funeral. I stood in outward silence, one of many gathered to make sense of a soul departed too soon.

Its first draft completed some months later, as I dwindled to skin and bones from an illness we rushed to identify. In another century, it would have been the last piece I ever composed.

But modern medicine brought me back.

With my second chance, I have immersed myself in the sacred work of composing music. And I've come a long way. The Requiem of 2015, packed with raw emotion and jaw-dropping ideas, deserves a revision. New ideas have emerged, which elevate weaker movements to the superlative quality of the others. This quality dictates a fuller instrumentation than the strings, bassoons, and clarinets of the original version.

Your sponsorship will bring this composition to its full potential, with a performance that it deserves. Please complete the form on this page to learn more about this Requiem.
